Pressure Regulators

Pressure regulators will save approximately 20-30% of your irrigation water usage. This alone can pay for the installation of the device in a short amount of time. Benefits of Pressure Regulators

By regulating your pressure down to the correct operating pressure, all of your system components will work more efficiently, i.e., valves, heads, main line, lateral lines, and last up to 10 times longer. Many new and old homes have a pressure regulator on the house but not the irrigation system. This allows the house to operate under the proper pressure of 50-70 psi but in some cases leave the sprinkler system running at up to 175 psi or more. Most sprinkler valves and components are only rated at 65-85 psi maximum. Many times a pressure regulator is installed directly after the irrigation shut off valve to regulate the operating pressure of the sprinkler system.

The pressure regulator should be installed in the sprinkler main line directly after the “TEE” from the main water supply line off the water meter which will help protect your entire sprinkler main line in addition to the rest of the sprinkler system. Installed inside a medium/large valve box your regulator will be easily accessible for inspections and adjustments. Our high range and regular range regulators are of commercial quality and will provide years of trouble free service. Your lawn sprinklers will operate much more efficiently reducing the amount of time needed to water the same area. When your sprinklers come on prior to pressure regulator installation, they could "fog" under high pressure. With the regulator, they will operate as designed in a "rain drop" fashion not a mist and provide more efficient coverage with less evaporation and save a dramatic amount of water. If you plan on owning your home for any amount of time, a pressure regulator is a good investment and will pay for itself quickly in reduction of repairs and water use.

In our 25 years of experience installing thousands of pressure regulators, West End Services/ASDR has seen first hand the benefits of installing this device, from cost savings to protecting your system. Our unmatched installation experience creates a unique understanding of pressure regulators and the benefits for our customers on their homes and sprinkler systems. A pressure regulator is a very in-expensive device which can provide years of protection for your home and sprinkler and landscape investment.

NOTE: Any damage that has occurred to your system while under extreme pressuremay still exist (valve diaphragm damage, weakened fittings and joints, worn out heads), however, future repairs to your system will be greatly reduced and/or partially worn items will have a longer life.
